“Jean-Paul Liardet, a comprehensive musician, composes works that are almost insane in their diversity. His language is decidedly bold, productive, and expressive. We undoubtedly sense a temperament.” – Pierre Hugli, Phart
Jean-Paul Liardet’s works are simply unique in their diversity. His musical language is bold, rich, and overwhelmingly expressive. The piano sonatas were written over a long period of 51 years between 1967 and 2018 and reveal the whole range of emotions, events, and influences that shape the composer’s musical world. The cycle is now being presented in its entirety for the first time by Olga Riazantceva-Schwarz.
