Chris Kläfford returns with his new album What I’m Running From, opening a new chapter in his musical career. Since winning Idol (Sweden, 2017), he has established himself as an outstanding singer-songwriter and built up a loyal fan base worldwide. Now he is taking his destiny into his own hands and venturing into complete creative independence.
In order to create his music without compromise and according to his own vision, he founded the label HoxFord Records together with his manager in 2024. “I wanted full control over the music process and to create something that was completely unfiltered and true to who I am,” explains Chris. His new album is a collection of personal stories—about love and loss, doubt and hope, big emotions and quiet moments.
Inspired by an intense songwriting trip to Nashville, a special melancholy pervades the songs, which are deeply rooted in Chris’ experiences and thoughts. The first single, Small Town Ghost, describes the feeling when a love ends but you still live in the same small town—trapped between memories and the longing for a new beginning.
